Basic Excursion Train

Trip Information

Travel from Boone to the old coal mining town of Fraser (and return) in 1920's era coach cars, experience what it was like to ride the rails in a caboose, or get an unparalleled view of the river valley from our popular open-air car.

This trip is approximately one hour and forty five minutes in length.

Amenities

Soda vending machines are located in the depot.  Typically, a concession car on our train is open for business as well.  It features items such as:  hot dogs, various chips, cookies, ice cream treats, and beverages for children as well as for aduts.  Please keep in mind that the concession car is cash only, and that it does not accept ATM/Debit/Credit Cards.

As these are 1920's era cars, they are not air conditioned, but do feature windows which can be opened.

Schedule and Prices

Departure dates, times and prices may be found on our Schedule & Prices page.
